I like this hat for good coverage of face, head and neck. It is adjustable with an outside toggle.I find that I still need to apply sunscreen if I'm doing a lot of errands. Without it I can lightly burn under the hat. Good visibility. Sunglasses fit well underneath.
I bought this for my hubby to wear while mountain biking in the summer. His neck and ears were getting sunburned pretty badly. He loves this hat. You can adjust the tightness of the hat so it fits snug just above your ears. This was a game changer. My hubby has a longer head shape but his head is taller so most hats don't fit him well. This was perfect.
I originally wanted a bucket hat with a neck flap for hiking/boating, but this actually does exactly what I was trying to accomplish: keeps me from having to wear sunscreen on my face and the back of my neck. I love that it’s waterproof and that the flaps are detachable too.
